Why the Credit Crisis is Only the Tip
of U.S. Financial Woes
Presented by PBS TV Host,
Dennis McCuistion
While all eyes have
been on our country’s financial meltdown on Wall Street, the principles
behind the Federal Reserve and the U. S. Treasury actions have had
little or no scrutiny. In fact, the proper role of government and its
relationship to markets has been sorely overlooked in the careening
back-and-forth,
out-of-control panics of Secretary Paulson and
Fed Chairman Bernanke.
And, for good measure, there is one more inconvenient fact that’s been
overlooked by the media and the politicians—the fact that the Federal
Government is broke—insolvent—in debt—right up to the taxpayers’
eyeballs. The numbers are almost incomprehensible.
In this “wake-up-call” presentation, McCuistion examines
the size of the problem, when it occurred and what it means to future
generations. McCuistion, known for his probing of topical issues, is
deep in his knowledge and insights of this issue and he lays it on the
line with authenticity, facts and conviction. Much like the style of his
award-winning talk show, he invites audience interaction as he probes
causes and ways to address the fiscal tsunamis of profligate government
spending and debt.We are now meeting at the Doubletree
