Melinda Marcus
For more than 30 years, Melinda Marcus has
built a solid track record for helping clients with complex marketing
challenges. She developed inPSYCHSTM training to empower executives to
gain consensus and close deals faster.
During her career, she has been named one of the “Ten Outstanding Young
Working Women in America” by Glamour magazine and “One of the Five Women
to Watch in the Southwest” by ADWEEK magazine. She began her career at
Tracy-Locke and went on to become the first female Creative Director at
The Richards Group. Since starting Marcus & Associates, Inc. in 1985,
Melinda has worked with a wide range of clients, including the largest
privately held newspaper group in the U.S., Fortune 500 Companies and
Fortune 100 Privately Held Companies. She also has worked with The
LeMaster Group on marketing for two NFL teams and Halliburton.
In addition to leading workshops for the Women’s Leadership Exchange (WLE),
the Securities Industry Association and The Society for Marketing
Professional Services, Melinda has been the featured speaker at The
Mortgage Bankers Association, The Food Marketing Institute, the National
Association of Women Business Owners, University of Texas (Austin),
Texas Tech and SMU.
Melinda earned her B.A. with Honors in Psychology from Northwestern
University and her M.F.A. in Mass Communications from Southern Methodist
University. In 2006, she completed an executive program through
Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Management focused on advanced marketing
strategies for business growth. Melinda is a new board member of IMC and
has served on the board of National Association of Women Business Owners
(DFW) as well as The Psychoanalytic Foundation of Dallas. She is a
founding member of LEXCI (a program of the Women’s Leadership Exchange).
